Senior Java Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with deep experience building high-quality backend applications and distributed services. You will own key modules, contribute to design and development decisions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate Java-based applications and services.
• Independently own assigned modules across the software development lifecycle.
• Build and enhance REST-based web services and microservices for scalable application platforms.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and develop new features.
• Review product functional specifications and provide practical technical feedback.
• Follow Agile practices and SDLC processes to deliver work in a structured and predictable way.
• Support code quality through testing, integration, review, and troubleshooting activities.
• Contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability improvements in high-volume systems.
• Share knowledge and support the growth of junior team members when needed.

How You Will Do It

• Take full ownership of your modules, with accountability for quality, delivery, and long-term maintainability.
• Stay close to the actual work by clarifying requirements early, removing blockers quickly, and focusing on what will create the most value for customers.
• Use a disciplined Agile and SDLC approach to deliver code in small, reviewable increments and incorporate feedback continuously.
• Apply strong Java, data structures, and algorithms knowledge to make sound design choices for performance and scalability.
• Work as one team by collaborating openly with developers, testers, product partners, and other functions, while sharing ideas with candor and respect.

Qualifications

• 9 -12 years of software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Java.
• Professional proficiency in Java 8.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and REST-based web services.
• Experience designing and developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products, or services.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working with Agile delivery methods and SDLC practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• BE in ECE, ETC, CSE, or ISE.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with Postgres.
• Exposure to Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Experience with Big Data technologies.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Experience with performance and scalability tuning in high-volume cloud-based applications.
