Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering. A minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience in the automobile or engineering industry is required.

Full description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Creation of Manufacturing, Process, and SAP BOM as per R&D inputs and supply conditions.
  • Timely updating of engineering changes in SAP BOM as per implementation requirements.
  • Ensuring no vehicle declaration remains pending due to BOM-related errors.
  • Conducting physical verification of SAP BOM to ensure accuracy and correctness.
  • Performing static builds of new variants (as required) to validate BOM correctness before productionization.
  • Initiating and implementing cost-saving and standardization proposals.
  • Driving process improvement initiatives and their implementation.
  • Planning and executing projects related to new products and model transfers.
  • Identifying opportunities for outsourcing/off-loading in-house activities to enhance capacity and improve productivity.
  • Managing selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of facilities, tooling, and equipment related to TCF and EOL.
  • Conducting process planning, design, and documentation activities.
  • Performing feasibility studies, budgeting, and obtaining approvals for new products, projects, and equipment.
  • Planning and arranging facilities, space utilization, material handling, and storage equipment
  • Taking corrective and preventive actions for field and in-house defects arising from process deficiencies
