OVERVIEW
This role will report into D&T Manager – Finance Operation in India and functionally collaborate with our US D&T FICO Solution Delivery Team. This role will cross functionally partner with the Global Solutions Delivery Team in the US and India. It is an Individual contributor role. In this role, you will be supporting the existing Operations and various change management initiatives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide a fundamental understanding of core SAP financial modules including Finance and Controlling modules.
- Lead finance related initiatives in the defined areas of responsibility and leverage all capabilities.
- Work closely with the Finance business process owners and D&T stakeholders on SAP FICO specific topics.
- Lead IT tasks not limited to business requirements analysis, issue resolution, root-cause analysis, business process optimization, integration topics, cross-functional projects, end-user training, translating requirements into technical solutions, and providing cost-benefit analysis and estimates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers (SD, MM, Tax, Treasury, Controlling, etc.) to ensure end-to-end solution alignment and optimization across the broader SAP landscape.
- Conduct training to key users, prepare/update documentation, and implement sustainable training strategies.
- Act as a strong technical analyst with the ability to offer guidance to junior team members in Projects/Enhancements.
- Demonstrate business consulting abilities by providing operational/technical support to business teams as also showcasing skills to answer clarification questions.
- Align with global teams around process and technology knowledge sharing sessions.
- Make appropriate representation at GMI global events or at site-level engaging sessions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Full-time graduation from an accredited university.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in SAP FICO
- Has hands-on experience in general areas of SAP Finance like Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, etc. & areas of controlling such as cost center, profit center, product costing, profitability analysis
- Carry out business requirements analysis, issue resolution, root-cause analysis, business process optimization, integration topics, cross-functional projects, end-user training, translating requirements into technical solutions, authoring detailed functional and technical specifications, testing etc.
- Serve as the SAP technical liaison for business stakeholders, independently handling complex incidents and service requests.
- Work with third-party bolt-on and external applications, understanding how they technically interface with General Mills’ SAP landscape; partner with external vendors on issue resolution, upgrades, integrations, and enabling additional capabilities.
- Hypercare support ensuring stabilization of implementations and new capabilities
- Partner with the team of Global FI SAP analysts & consultants in project execution and operations deliverables
- Participate in incidents, problems, and change management activities, including a rotating support schedule to provide timely coverage for critical finance processes.
- Align with global SAP and finance teams through regular process/technology knowledge-sharing sessions, contributing insights and leveraging global standards and assets.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- SAP FICO Certification preferred
- Experience working with S4/Hana
- Fiori Apps
