abra professional services is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager.

We are looking for a skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, strategic, cross-organizational information systems projects in the operations domain, including the replacement and implementation of core operational systems.

This role requires extensive experience in managing large-scale IT projects, leading matrix teams, managing vendors and contracts, writing professional project documentation, handling complex budgets, and working closely with senior management, business users, technology teams, suppliers, and external consultants.

A full-time position based mainly in Central Israel, with occasional travel to additional sites across Israel. Hybrid work may be possible subject to managerial approval. The role may require availability beyond standard working hours, including 24/7 availability when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT activity of a complex strategic project for replacing core operational systems.
  • Manage and coordinate all project stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, suppliers, and external consultants.
  • Ensure project objectives are met, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer value.
  • Plan the project methodology, including goals, activities, tasks, resources, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepare technical specifications for the procurement of systems and services through tenders and RFP processes.
  • Manage additional project activities and provide interim solutions when required.
  • Monitor and manage contracts with vendors to ensure full compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct market research to evaluate information system solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Write professional and managerial project documents.
  • Perform budget analysis and prepare project estimates.
  • Prepare and continuously update work plans using computerized project management tools.
  • Track project progress, prepare performance and progress reports, and provide solutions to reduce risks, issues, and delays.
  • Participate in steering committees and project management forums, prepare reports, and represent the division in organizational forums.
  • Prepare the required documentation package for project management and future system operation.
  • Manage the system after project completion, including system stability, upgrades, fixes, SLA management, and vendor contract management.

Requirements:

MUST HAVE:

• Academic degree or practical engineering diploma with an emphasis on IT, Technology, or Industrial Engineering and Management, plus at least 7 years of experience.

Or completion of relevant professional courses totaling at least 600 study hours, plus at least 8 years of experience.

Or at least 12 years of experience managing IT projects.

  • Proven expertise and experience with modern project management methodologies, practices, and tools.
  • Proven expertise in handling complex issues and providing solutions in large-scale, complex project environments.
  • Proven experience managing projects and providing professional consulting to senior management levels.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a matrix IT Project Manager, including full lifecycle project management.
  • Experience leading all project stakeholders in a matrix environment, including customers, technology teams, infrastructure, information security, users, suppliers, and external consultants.
  • Proven experience managing at least one strategic, cross-organizational core project with significant budget scope throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience managing complex contracts with software and IT product vendors, including complex technical and financial negotiations.
  • Excellent writing skills in both Hebrew and English for project documents throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proven system analysis capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills for presenting projects and project documents to senior management, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent understanding of relevant IT domains, including communication infrastructure, information security and cyber, servers, operating systems, and interfaces.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Native-level Hebrew.
  • High-level English, with an emphasis on writing, speaking, and reading.
