Position Title: Product Manager Location: Remote (In the U.S)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team supporting VA.gov Platform’s Infrastructure Services Team. In this role you will lead the strategy, prioritization, and delivery of infrastructure products and services that power VA.gov. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about ensuring VA.gov Platform provides reliable, secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure that enables engineering teams to build, test, deploy, and operate digital services for millions of Veterans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and maintain the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for VA.gov Platform Infrastructure Services
  • Establish clear product goals and measurable outcomes for infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, performance, and developer experience
  • Develop a deep understanding of the infrastructure products and services VA.gov engineering teams depend on
  • Translate engineering needs, operational risks, user research, Platform strategy, and government priorities into actionable product initiatives
  • Balance investments across new capabilities, modernization, reliability, technical debt, security, operational improvements, and developer experience
  • Identify dependencies and sequencing across major infrastructure initiatives
  • Communicate Infrastructure Services priorities and roadmap decisions to Platform leadership, engineering teams, and government stakeholders
  • Treat cloud infrastructure, deployment environments, shared services, and infrastructure tooling as products used by engineering teams across VA.gov
  • Build strong relationships with government stakeholders, engineering leadership, Platform teams, and teams building on VA.gov

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner for technical products, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, enterprise software, or internal engineering services
  • Strong product management skills including strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, backlog management, and Agile delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering teams
  • Technical fluency with cloud infrastructure and modern software delivery concepts
  • Understanding of concepts such as cloud computing, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, environments, observability, and production operations
  • Experience translating complex technical initiatives into clear product outcomes and priorities
  • Experience using operational metrics, user feedback, and qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions
  • Experience defining KPIs and measuring product outcomes

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting. 

PAY RANGE

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on geographic work location, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, security clearance, and contract requirements. Geographic salary ranges are determined in accordance with the company's compensation practices and represent a good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting.
