Benefits
Full description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect – AWS / Terraform / Endur based in Brazil.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the cloud infrastructure behind a major enterprise transformation in the energy sector. You will design and build AWS environments supporting business-critical applications, complex networking, Oracle databases, and multiple production workloads. A major focus will be provisioning approximately 94 EC2 instances across seven Endur environments using scalable Infrastructure as Code practices. You will work closely with AWS engineering teams, architects, security specialists, database experts, and application teams. The position combines architecture with hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, migration planning, and production readiness. Your work will directly support the transition of critical enterprise workloads from legacy infrastructure into secure, resilient, and automated AWS environments.

Accountabilities: Lead the architecture, engineering, and implementation of enterprise-scale AWS infrastructure while maintaining ownership throughout migration, production readiness, and post-migration stabilization.
- Design and implement enterprise-grade AWS infrastructure supporting Endur, SQMD, databases, and related applications.
- Provision approximately 94 EC2 instances across seven Endur environments using Terraform.
- Develop reusable, maintainable Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns, including effective management of state, variables, providers, dependencies, and environments.
- Build infrastructure that can be consistently deployed across development, testing, staging, disaster recovery, and production environments.
- Integrate infrastructure provisioning with CI/CD and enterprise deployment processes.
- Design and implement VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, DNS, Route 53, load balancing, network segmentation, and hybrid connectivity.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to resolve connectivity dependencies and ensure infrastructure meets enterprise standards.
- Implement infrastructure aligned with AWS and organizational security, governance, compliance, resiliency, and operational requirements.
- Support IAM, encryption, secrets, certificates, KMS, and infrastructure-level security controls.
- Work with Oracle specialists and AWS teams to support infrastructure requirements for Oracle Data Guard, including replication, disaster recovery, failover, availability, security, and connectivity.
- Participate throughout the migration lifecycle, including planning, environment sequencing, infrastructure validation, technical workshops, migration rehearsals, cutovers, rollback planning, and stabilization.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues spanning networking, security, operating systems, applications, databases, and connectivity.
- Own infrastructure issues through resolution while coordinating effectively with application, database, network, security, and engineering teams.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical workshops, documenting infrastructure decisions, dependencies, risks, and recommendations.
- Work closely with U.S.-based client teams and AWS engineering resources to translate architecture requirements into practical, production-ready infrastructure.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines deep AWS architecture expertise with advanced Infrastructure as Code capabilities and a hands-on engineering mindset. You should be comfortable working across complex enterprise environments, taking ownership of infrastructure challenges, and communicating technical decisions clearly with global stakeholders.
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise workloads on AWS.
- Advanced or expert-level Terraform experience, including modules, state management, providers, variables, dependencies, reusable patterns, and CI/CD-based deployments.
- Strong knowledge of core AWS infrastructure services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, Security Groups, Route 53, Load Balancing, CloudWatch, KMS, and Systems Manager.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, routing, DNS, security segmentation, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience building and supporting multi-environment enterprise platforms.
- Experience with Oracle infrastructure and a solid understanding of Oracle Data Guard, replication, availability, and disaster recovery requirements.
- Experience participating in large-scale application migrations or data center-to-AWS transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, and production infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, security, operating systems, and applications.
- Experience with ION/Openlink Endur is strongly preferred.
- Candidates without direct Endur experience may be considered if they have supported other complex, stateful, mission-critical enterprise platforms involving multiple application tiers, databases, integrations, and environments.
- Experience in energy, utilities, commodities, trading, financial services, or similarly complex enterprise environments is a plus.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with C1-level or equivalent business fluency preferred.
- Confidence leading technical architecture discussions and explaining complex infrastructure concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to present architecture decisions through diagrams and documentation and clearly communicate technical trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently and proactively with distributed client, AWS, and delivery teams.
- Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to take technical issues from discovery through resolution.
- Comfortable working in a video-first remote environment with frequent architecture workshops and technical meetings involving U.S.-based teams.
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or comparable certification is a plus.
- Experience working directly with AWS Professional Services or AWS Partner engineering teams is a plus.
- ION/Openlink Endur infrastructure experience is a plus.
- Oracle/Data Guard migration experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise workloads on AWS is a plus.
- Experience designing infrastructure CI/CD pipelines and working in enterprise security, governance, and compliance environments is a plus.
