Product Design
Ebury London Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week
We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer to help craft world-class digital experiences. Using your design expertise, you’ll translate complex problems and bold ideas into intuitive, client-centred products that simplify complexity at scale.
In this role, you’ll own end-to-end design for a key client-facing product area - shaping flows from discovery through detailed design, build partnership and launch. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Data and Operations to define problems, explore opportunities, align on priorities and ship high-quality experiences that drive client value and business impact. This role may be hired at Product Designer II (Level 3) or Senior Product Designer (Level 4), depending on the level of autonomy, product judgement and scope demonstrated through the interview process.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end experience for key client journeys across web and digital products, from prioritisation and concept through detailed design and launch.
- Design with multi-platform support in mind, ensuring solutions scale across devices, operating systems and breakpoints while maintaining clarity and consistency.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data and Operations to translate strategy into actionable design, identifying high-impact problems and driving alignment on priorities.
- Simplify complex, ambiguous systems with a client-first, systems-thinking approach, balancing client needs, business goals and technical constraints.
- Craft elegant, intuitive solutions with strong interaction design and visual craft, ensuring consistency and quality across experiences.
- Prototype, test and iterate quickly using research and data, partnering with Product and Data to define success metrics and learning loops.
- Use the most effective tools available to explore and solve problems. This may include tools such as Claude, Codex, Figma Make or other AI-assisted prototyping and coding tools to test assumptions, create working prototypes and improve your own workflow.
- Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs rather than accepting them at face value, using your product judgement to decide what to keep, change or discard.
- Contribute to and extend our design system, improving reusable patterns that help teams ship faster with consistency.
- Partner closely with Engineering through implementation to ensure quality and polish at launch.
- Contribute to design culture through critiques, workshops and reviews - raising the bar through craft and collaboration.
What you’ll need
- Relevant professional experience within UX or Product Design, with scope and expectations assessed according to Level 3 or Level 4.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong craft and product intuition, with expertise in layout, typography, hierarchy and interaction design.
- Demonstrated experience shipping digital products, ideally across responsive web and multiple surfaces.
- Experience designing responsive and adaptive layouts, component-based systems and platform-aware interaction patterns.
- Strong product thinking, with the ability to balance client needs, business goals and technical realities and make deliberate, data-informed trade-offs.
- A strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity about new ways of working. We care less about proficiency in a specific AI tool and more about your ability to break down problems, question assumptions, experiment quickly and find creative ways to move from an idea to something tangible.
- Comfort working beyond the traditional boundaries of Product Design - exploring prototypes, code, data or new tools when they help you understand or solve a problem better.
- Proven collaboration skills across Design, Product and Engineering disciplines.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to balance and prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Fintech experience, or experience within similarly complex, data-heavy or regulated products, is strongly preferred.
