Accountabilities: The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and evolving backend solutions while supporting technical excellence across the engineering team.

• Develop and evolve complex backend functionalities for scalable web applications and, when necessary, mobile solutions.

• Design, build, maintain, and improve REST APIs with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and architectural best practices.

• Lead the resolution of critical bugs and contribute to improvements in existing systems.

• Define and ensure automated and unit test coverage, promoting a strong quality culture within the team.

• Participate actively in code reviews, sharing development best practices and supporting the growth of less experienced developers.

• Contribute to agile ceremonies and lead technical discussions regarding solution design and implementation.

• Work with microservices and micro-frontend architectures, proposing improvements and scalable approaches.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, acting as a technical reference within the squad.

• Support architecture decisions and engineering practices alongside technical leadership.

• Mentor developers and encourage knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced backend developer with strong technical expertise, architectural vision, and the ability to collaborate effectively in agile environments. This professional should have solid experience building scalable applications and influencing technical decisions.

• Strong experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.

• Solid experience with Node.js development.

• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Strong experience with React.

• Advanced understanding of REST API development and consumption, including design and security best practices.

• Solid experience with Git workflows, including branching strategies, commits, merges, pull requests, and version control practices in larger teams.

• Advanced knowledge of microservices and micro-frontend architectures, with the ability to contribute to architectural discussions.

• Experience mentoring or technically supporting less experienced developers.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence technical decisions.

• Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Differential skills:

• Experience with React Native and/or Next.js.

• Knowledge of NestJS.

• Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, JUnit, Cypress, or Appium.

• Previous experience as a technical leader or Tech Lead.

• Experience improving development processes and engineering practices.
