JOB SUMMARY:
The FP&A Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and performance analysis. The role provides accurate, timely insights to support decisions, enhance financial performance, and maintain effective cost control. Working with Finance and business stakeholders, the analyst reviews results, identifies trends, and delivers clear reporting and recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support annual budgets, business plans, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial models.
- Collect, validate, and consolidate financial and operational data across departments.
- Produce monthly management reports, dashboard, and performance summaries.
- Run budget-to-actual, forecast-to-actual, and year-on-year variance analysis.
- Investigate material variances and provide explanations and recommendations.
- Build and maintain models for planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
- Analyse revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, capital expenditure, and key KPIs.
- Support month-end and year-end close by reviewing data and assisting schedules.
- Coordinate with departments to gather budget inputs, forecasts, assumptions, and updates.
- Monitor departmental spend and support cost control initiatives.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports for Finance Manager or senior leadership.
- Maintain organised planning files, reports, models, and supporting documentation.
- Improve reporting processes, data quality, financial controls, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Excellent financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and models.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, or similar.
- Ability to analyse management accounts, cost reports, and operational data.
- Good understanding of variance analysis, cash flow, and key financial performance indicators.
- Ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and report integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Minimum 2–4 years experience in FP&A, financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, or similar.
- UAE/GCC experience, preferably in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or commercial sectors, is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, budgeting tools, and business intelligence platforms is an advantage.
