Your Impact As a Data Center Senior Consulting Engineer, you will provide expert-level technical guidance and delivery for our most high-profile global customers. You will:

  • Design and implement cutting-edge Cisco technologies for the world’s largest and most complex networks.
  • Analyze, monitor, and optimize network performance while automating repeatable tasks.
  • Apply innovative technology to solve real-world business problems and deliver scalable, robust services.
  • Develop software and tools to automate manual processes and support infrastructure platforms.
  • Act as a strategic partner to our customers, proactively preventing network incidents and providing expert-level troubleshooting for unique, complex environments.
  • Support global field teams and engineers, providing technical leadership and problem-resolution expertise.
  • Conduct internal and external systems/product training and contribute to the development of intellectual property.
  • Provide critical feedback to Engineering and Product organizations to influence future product roadmaps.
  • Innovate within our service strategy to create new service capabilities and lead service delivery models.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BE/BTech) or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred, with 10+ years of experience in field consulting, technical support services, or a similar role.
  • You are a customer-obsessed problem solver who thrives in team environments.
  •  Technical Expertise: You possess comprehensive knowledge of Data Center technologies (SDN, SAN, Compute) and Cisco Nexus platforms (2K/5K/7K/9K), including Nexus Standalone and ACI.
  • Networking Proficiency: You have deep experience with L2/L3 protocols (vPC, Port Channels, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VXLAN, and Nexus Dashboard.
  • Fabric Management: You demonstrate advanced knowledge of ACI fabric lifecycle management (bring-up, programmability, QoS, Multicast) and ACI Multi-Pod/Multi-Site architectures.
  • Automation: You are proficient in NDFC (Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller) and enjoy applying new thinking to automate manual processes.
  • Communication: You have strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across internal and external organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCIE (Data Center/Routing & Switching) or CCNP certification is highly valued.
  • Experience or knowledge of virtualization, container technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, or VMware VCP is a plus.
