Federal Government Senior Project Manager
Delivering Strategic Outcomes Across Australian Government Programs (Australian Citizenship and minimum NV1 Security Clearance required)

Role Purpose
Lead the successful delivery of high-profile projects within Australian Government environments, driving measurable business outcomes through strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder engagement. This role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring initiatives are strategically aligned, operationally effective, financially sound, and delivered to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Working with a portfolio of Infrastructure projects covering technologies including networks, cyber security, end user computing and Cloud ITO projects, The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, coordination, governance, risk management, resource management, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, safety, and change management. Working closely with government stakeholders and delivery teams, the role is accountable for achieving project objectives on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved scope and performance expectations.
This position requires a proven track record delivering complex projects within government or highly regulated environments, with the ability to balance strategic objectives, stakeholder priorities, and delivery outcomes while maintaining strong project controls and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with project teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and contribute to the identification and resolution of issues and risks.
- Participate in resource allocation and budget monitoring, tracking and delivery.
- Prepare and support the presentation of project status reports to stakeholders including senior IT stakeholders and project governance boards.
- Engage in continuous learning and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist project managers in coordinating project activities.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Infrastructure project delivery experience including the deployment and migration of network, firewall, security, desktop and cloud technologies.
- Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 5+ years in a similar role
- Proven experience in project and program management
- Proficiencies in project management methodologies, tools, and software
- A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
Other Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 are a plus
- Ability to work on site with client as required

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a minimum NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance. All work must be performed by personnel cleared through AGSVA.
