Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead the technology components of strategic initiatives across our warehousing, logistics, and fulfillment operations. This role is responsible for managing projects that range from enterprise software implementations and systems integrations to warehouse infrastructure deployments and facility technology buildouts. This position is based in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area and requires to be 100% onsite.
The Senior IT Project Manager serves as the primary owner for project execution within Information Technology and is responsible for coordinating resources, timelines, vendors, technical deliverables, risks, and implementation activities. Business requirements, process design, and business prioritization are owned by the Business Relationship team, while this position ensures technology solutions are successfully planned, delivered, and supported.
The ideal candidate has experience managing projects within supply chain, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or transportation environments and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced organization where priorities shift frequently. This individual will work closely with the Business Relationship team, corporate project management resources, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to successfully deliver multiple concurrent initiatives.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently drive technology initiatives from concept through implementation while maintaining strong communication, organization, and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
· Lead multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through implementation and post-go-live support.
· Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, communication plans, risk assessments, and status reporting.
· Manage project scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
· Facilitate project meetings, steering committee reviews, project working sessions, and executive updates.
· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
· Establish project governance and maintain accountability across internal and external teams.
· Maintain visibility into project health and proactively address risks, issues, and resource constraints.
Technology Project Leadership & Coordination
· Serve as the technology lead for assigned projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, delivery, and transition to support.
· Coordinate technology activities across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data, networking, and support teams.
· Work closely with the Business Relationship team, which owns business requirements, business process design, stakeholder alignment, and business prioritization.
· Partner with corporate project management teams to coordinate schedules, dependencies, resource planning, governance activities, and project reporting.
· Translate business objectives into actionable technology workstreams and implementation plans.
· Manage technology vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and service providers.
· Ensure alignment between business-driven project objectives and technology delivery plans.
· Provide regular project status updates to IT leadership, business stakeholders, and executive management.
Enterprise Applications & Business Systems
· Manage implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and migrations involving ERP, WMS, and other business-critical systems.
· Coordinate software vendors, implementation partners, and internal IT resources throughout project lifecycles.
· Support system integration initiatives involving APIs, middleware platforms, EDI, reporting solutions, and third-party applications.
· Coordinate technical testing, cutover planning, deployment activities, and production readiness efforts.
· Ensure technology deliverables meet business and operational objectives.
Infrastructure & Warehouse Technology Projects
· Lead technology deployments associated with new warehouse startups, facility expansions, relocations, and infrastructure refresh initiatives.
· Coordinate implementation of networks, wireless infrastructure, internet services, security systems, workstations, printers, scanners, and related technologies.
· Work closely with Operations, Facilities, contractors, and external vendors to ensure successful site readiness and project execution.
· Manage infrastructure modernization, hardware lifecycle, and technology standardization projects across multiple locations.
· Ensure all technology components are operational and supported before warehouse go-live events.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
· Build strong working relationships with warehouse leadership, operations teams, executive stakeholders, and corporate partners.
· Coordinate activities among multiple internal and external teams with competing priorities.
· Manage vendor performance, deliverables, timelines, and contractual obligations.
· Escalate project risks, issues, and decisions appropriately to leadership.
· Foster collaboration between business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain project schedules, budgets, risk logs, issue trackers, action items, and project documentation.
· Provide concise, actionable, and executive-level project status reporting.
· Develop implementation plans, cutover plans, communication plans, and post-project reviews.
· Ensure project artifacts and documentation follow organizational standards and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
· 7+ years of experience managing technology projects.
· Demonstrated experience leading both software implementation and infrastructure-related projects.
· Experience within supply chain, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or transportation organizations strongly preferred.
· Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities.
· Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
· Experience coordinating cross-functional teams consisting of technical resources, business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners.
· Excellent communication, facilitation, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management capabilities.
· Experience presenting project status and recommendations to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
· PMP Certification or equivalent project management certification.
· Experience leading ERP implementations involving NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
· Experience leading WMS implementations involving Softeon, Logiwa, or similar warehouse management platforms.
· Experience supporting warehouse startup, expansion, relocation, or greenfield deployment projects.
· Familiarity with systems integrations, APIs, middleware platforms, EDI, and data migration initiatives.
· Experience with Microsoft 365, Power BI, and Tableau.
· Experience using project and work management platforms such as ClickUp, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools.
· Experience managing third-party software and infrastructure vendors.
· Supply chain, warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, or transportation industry experience.
