Job Details: Job Location: Arlington/ DC Area - Arlington, VA, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: $100000.00 - $125000.00Salary/year, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Industrial Development , The Lead Business Analyst supports federal government programs by analyzing operational, financial, technical, and stakeholder requirements; documenting current and future-state processes; and translating business needs into actionable recommendations, deliverables, and system or process requirements. This role serves as a liaison among program leadership, government stakeholders, vendor teams, acquisition personnel, and end-users to improve decision-making, strengthen compliance, and support measurable mission outcomes. They are someone with experience developing and translating system SOPs for users, thoroughly documenting and revising processes, overseeing system operations, and actively driving progress in the development of different tools and applications. Additionally, they will have strong data analysis skills and support different data analysis teams. Qualifications: Required Education: - Advanced degree or deep domain expertise Required Experience: - 6–9 years of consulting experience - Total of 7+ years of relevant professional experience Required Skills and Abilities: 1. Lead business and systems analysis activities, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, refinement, and backlog management. 2. Coordinate functional testing and release-readiness activities, including sprint testing, UAT planning and execution, defect disposition, and production validation. 3. Support application roadmap, quarterly scope, backlog prioritization, and delivery planning in partnership with project and service-delivery leadership. 4. Analyze application data, reporting discrepancies, business rules, and system behavior and coordinate resolution with technical and business teams. 5. Develop and maintain SOPs, job aids, process flows, test documentation, system reference materials, and other functional documentation. 6. Provide functional subject-matter expertise and decision-support analysis to project leadership. 7. Manage knowledge transfer, onboarding, and transition activities to ensure continuity of application operations and business processes. 8. Develop presentations, demonstrations, training materials, release communications, and stakeholder-facing project materials. 9. Support continuous improvement of business processes, application functionality, documentation, and project delivery practices.
