POSITION SUMMARY:

This combined Product Manager and Business Development Manager role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the business by driving growth within the Process Pumps portfolio. The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and strengthening customer relationships, and driving profitable revenue growth across North America. As the company’s process pump expert, this position partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Leadership teams to develop and execute market strategies, improve product awareness, and increase market share. The role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. Working collaboratively with headquarters in Germany, this role supports innovation and aligned growth initiatives tailored to the North American market while serving as a key resource supporting Sales and Marketing efforts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth and market expansion for the Process Pumps portfolio through targeted business and product strategies.
  • Identify, pursue, negotiate, and close new business opportunities while building strong customer and distributor relationships.
  • Own the Process Pumps product portfolio, including lifecycle management, pricing, positioning, forecasting, and value creation.
  • Serve as the process pump subject‑matter expert, supporting Sales and Marketing with technical expertise, sales tools, and training.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
  • Lead strategic and technical marketing initiatives, including campaigns, messaging, trade shows, and product launches.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to drive growth and innovation.
  • Engage directly with customers through site visits, trials, and industry events to support sales efforts and gather market insight.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in business development, product management, sales, or a related technical/commercial role within Process Pumps or an industrial environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and translate strategy into action.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Self‑motivated, action‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40–60%.
  • Industrial background and familiarity with controls or process pump applications preferred.
  • Pragmatic Marketing training a plus.
  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
