Job Description
Opportunity at a Glance
The Senior Business Analyst within our Performance Acceleration team is an individual contributor responsible for the development of reporting around our operational KPIs, supporting a regular cadence of executive reviews, and for working with the technology team to improve dashboarding over time. This role also provides analytics support related to ongoing projects for each of the business segments, using tools such as Excel and Power BI. The focus of this role is much less on the technical aspects of analysis itself, and much more on building the bidirectional capability to understand our operations through data, surface insights, and establish a feedback loop with technical teams to improve our reporting products over time.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement reports/dashboards for executive leaders within all institutions.
- Leads day-to-day development and delivery of reports and feedback on features and capabilities to be incorporated as enhancements.
- Provides segment and performance acceleration colleagues with analytics and reporting on operational projects.
- Liaison to assigned function and/or institutions for secondary review on completed observations and general questions
- Leads report discussions with institutional leadership.
- Provides detailed feedback to technology teams; coordinates development of feedback with Performance Acceleration and institutional leadership.
- Completes statistical analysis, reports, and tracks observational trends and opportunities to improve visualization in assigned systems; identifies and recommends process efficiencies based on trend analysis.
- Demonstrates expertise and remains up to date on all institution and functional reporting needs.
- May assist leader with designing and presenting any special reports and projects
- Assists with the analysis and estimation of analytic projects.
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, and training additional analysts as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required and Master's Degree in statistics, data science, economics, mathematics, or other related degree preferred.
- 5+ years of analytics and report development supporting enterprise operations required.
- 5+ years of business experience in higher education or a similar multi-line service organization, with operational knowledge of marketing and student or customer service preferred.
- Experience with programming and analytics systems (e.g., Power BI); reporting skills including SQL, Excel, or similar; and experience with visual presentation of results, primarily in PowerPoint.
- Exceptional critical thinking, organization and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions without supervision or direction
- Strong persistence, ability to continuously improve regular tasks.
- Proven ability to set priorities and deadlines and ensure projects are completed.
- Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of and quickly resolve complex issues
- Capacity to develop skills to interpret and analyze data to drive business decisions
- Good skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Agility to learn new systems and pilot new technologies is a plus
- Proven ability to meet/exceed expectations on most recent performance evaluation
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting with business counterparts.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70696.34 and $124230.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
