Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Android application development. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable mobile applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Requires strong expertise in Kotlin, modern Android architecture, UI development, performance optimization, and integration with backend services. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that support a broader ecosystem of web, Android, and iOS applications. Analyzes user requirements and contributes to technical solutions with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
  • Build reusable components and scalable mobile architectures to support long-term product growth.
  • Design and implement solutions using MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and established design patterns.
  • Develop responsive, intuitive, and high-performance user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, iOS, and Engineering teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, backend services, and authentication platforms.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT, SSO, OTP, and biometric authentication where applicable.
  • Optimize application performance, memory utilization, reliability, and overall user experience.
  • Develop and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application quality and stability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mobile application issues.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design reviews.
  • Support and lead small to medium complexity mobile initiatives and system components.
  • Provide peer support and assist in onboarding and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Work within Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Document development processes, technical designs, and implementation decisions.
  • Implement security, performance, accessibility, and data protection best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of Android application development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Android SDK.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI development.
  • Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Android design patterns.
  • Experience with Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming concepts.
  • Experience with Jetpack Components including Navigation, Room, and ViewModel.
  • Experience with Dependency Injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions using JWT, OAuth, SSO, OTP, or biometric authentication.
  • Strong understanding of testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications, and Performance Monitoring.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile deployments.
  • Experience integrating Google Fit, Health Connect, wearable devices, or other health-related platforms.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and storage integrations.
  • Familiarity with mobile security, observability, and application performance monitoring.
  • Experience implementing reusable UI component libraries or design systems using Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
