Data Engineer

Location: Fully Remote (UK)

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 + Benefits

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We're working with an organisation looking to strengthen its data capability with the addition of a Data Engineer.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of data initiatives, supporting the development and optimisation of modern data platforms and pipelines that enable reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. You'll collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while contributing to the delivery of reliable, scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and data integration processes
  • Support the delivery of cloud-based data solutions
  • Assist with data modelling, transformation, and optimisation activities
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business needs
  • Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance
  • Contribute to data platform enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support reporting, analytics, and wider data-driven projects

Required Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar data-focused role
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Understanding of data warehousing and modern data platforms
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Airflow, or dbt
  • Experience using Git or similar version control tools
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices
  • Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
