This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer, Federal Modernization based in United States.
This is a remote opportunity to shape mission-critical digital products supporting complex federal investigative and data-driven operations.You’ll combine deep UX expertise with strong visual design skills to turn sophisticated workflows and large volumes of data into intuitive experiences.The role is highly client-facing, with direct collaboration across government stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and delivery teams.You’ll contribute across the full design lifecycle, from research and discovery through prototyping, testing, implementation, and iteration.Your work will help simplify complex processes, improve information discovery, and strengthen operational decision-making in secure enterprise environments.You’ll operate as a hands-on design leader and trusted advisor within a collaborative consulting and Agile delivery environment.This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on federal modernization while working on challenging, high-visibility digital transformation initiatives.

Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end product design activities for mission-critical federal digital products, from discovery and research through delivery and continuous improvement.
- Create wireframes, journey maps, workflows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that address complex user and business needs.
- Translate sophisticated requirements, investigative workflows, and data-intensive use cases into intuitive, accessible, and effective user experiences.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, user research, usability testing, and other discovery activities to validate assumptions and inform design decisions.
- Simplify complex workflows and data-rich environments through thoughtful interaction design, information architecture, navigation, and visual hierarchy.
- Develop and maintain reusable design patterns, standards, and design-system components to ensure consistency across products and experiences.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, business analysts, and other delivery team members throughout the product lifecycle.
- Present design concepts, recommendations, prototypes, and design rationale clearly to government and client stakeholders.
- Incorporate feedback and usability findings into iterative design improvements while supporting Agile delivery teams.
- Ensure digital experiences align with accessibility best practices, security requirements, enterprise standards, and established user-centered design principles.
- Serve as a trusted design partner in client engagements, helping stakeholders navigate complex product and user experience challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in UX, UI, product design, or a closely related discipline.
- Previous consulting experience in a client-facing environment, with confidence working directly with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience designing digital solutions for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
- Strong portfolio showcasing both user experience and visual design capabilities across complex digital products.
- Advanced proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Hands-on experience with user research, stakeholder interviews, prototyping, usability testing, interaction design, and iterative product development.
- Strong understanding of human-centered and user-centered design methodologies, information architecture, and accessibility best practices.
- Ability to transform complex requirements and data-heavy workflows into clear, intuitive, and visually compelling experiences.
- Excellent presentation, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with product managers, engineers, analysts, government stakeholders, and multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance.
- Must reside in the United States; candidates residing in New York, California, or Colorado are not eligible for this position.
