IT / DevOps Engineer

Enthought is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support our Tokyo-based Professional Services & Customer Success teams. This is a hands-on technical role where you will provision and manage cloud infrastructure, develop automation pipelines, and collaborate directly with enterprise clients across Japan. Native Japanese fluency is essential for client-facing work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical infrastructure support to the PS&CS teams in Japan and globally

• Collaborate with Japanese enterprise customers to design and deliver cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Monitor, optimize, and secure allocated cloud resources

• Develop automation and scripting solutions to improve deployment and management of infrastructure

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent

• Create documentation and ready-to-use templates implementing best practices for infrastructure deployment

• Provide custom-coded deployment solutions for complex or non-standard project requirements

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in Japanese and English

Required Qualifications

• Native Japanese speaker with strong written and spoken English (business level or above)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, IT infrastructure, or software development

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS strongly preferred)

• Experience with Terraform in a production environment

• Knowledge of container orchestration: Kubernetes and/or Docker Swarm

• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript, and comfort with Bash scripting

• Experience building and deploying container-based applications

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Travis CI, or similar

• Linux and/or Windows server administration experience
