Your role in the team
As a Digital Product Manager (DPM), you are responsible for contributing towards defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of one or more products in Allstate’s growing product portfolio. The Digital Product Manager assists with supporting strategic product vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by their product. Successful Digital Product Managers help to identify assumptions and validate those assumptions using product discovery techniques. The Digital Product Manager is responsible for working closely with Business Architects and key stakeholders, ensuring the successful definition and execution of go-to market and communications strategies for their products.
The DPM will support the Use My Protection customer journey as we transform how we serve our customers and business partners throughout the claims journey using innovative and modern technology. We are seeking a strategic, execution-driven product person, expertly living into Human-Centered design and Design Thinking practices to better understand the needs and goals of our customers and employees, generating new ideas and features. They should be a creative problem solver in the face of technology and/or resource limitations and should be able to skillfully apply emotional intelligence to gain trust and influence across stakeholders. This individual will define and drive the strategic direction and vision for their digital product, iteratively delivering on consumer journeys and relevant demands.
Key responsibilities
- Measure and communicate results; make recommendations to leaders on additional product or experience opportunities.
- Participate in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.
- Perform analysis and work that will support recommendations on product and process enhancements.
- Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product and experience strategy.
- Contribute to the achievement of short- and long-term strategies to achieve product and experience goals for the UMP journey.
- Own the product backlog (including author, test, and accept stories), contribute towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.
- Be an expert facilitator of digital product inceptions, ensuring appropriate KPIs, focus, and iterative deliverables with a bias for acceleration
- Expertly negotiate iterative delivery and sequencing within backlog.
Essential Skills

- A minimum of 4 years' experience conducting product scoping, discovery, framing, owning and managing a backlog (in agility or similar tools) of products for a digital product team
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience with customer facing applications/products
- Experience with Agile methodologies, developing and delivering product value via an enterprise-level XP framework
Desirable Skills
- Experience with claims technologies
- Experience identifying emerging trends in AI/ML technologies driving strategic innovation
