We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with 7–11 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications for the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java development, Oracle databases, and financial application development, with the ability to build secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. This role requires an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and contributes to the architecture and continuous improvement of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Java-based enterprise applications for BFSI products and services.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performing backend services while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement effective solutions for system stability.
- Design and optimize Oracle database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and data access layers.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions to improve software quality.
- Ensure adherence to secure coding practices, regulatory requirements, and software development standards applicable to financial systems.
- Mentor junior developers by providing technical guidance and promoting engineering best practices.
- Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to support testing, deployment, and production releases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Required Qualifications• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–11 years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Java.
- Proven experience developing applications within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, object-oriented programming principles, and software design patterns.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with experience working in Agile development environments.
Must-Have Skills• Strong proficiency in Java with extensive experience building enterprise-grade backend applications.
- Hands-on experience developing solutions for the BFSI industry, including banking, financial services, or insurance platforms.
- Expertise in Oracle Database, including SQL, PL/SQL, query optimization, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API development, exception handling, multithreading, collections, and concurrency.
- Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC), code reviews, version control systems, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to develop highly secure, scalable, and reliable applications for mission-critical environments.
Good-to-Have Skills• Experience with Spring Boot for developing modern microservices and enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and their practical application in solving complex engineering problems.
- Solid knowledge of Algorithms, computational complexity, and performance optimization techniques.
- Exposure to microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud platforms is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and monitoring tools.
