The Project Manager within the Engineering PMO is responsible for coordinating and driving cross-functional product development programs from concept through launch for high-end electronic products. This role operates at the intersection of engineering execution and business alignment, supporting technical programs that span hardware, firmware, software, mechanical design, validation, and manufacturing readiness.

This position is deeply embedded within engineering development activities and requires the ability to partner credibly with technical teams and engineering leadership. The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering foundation with practical project management expertise, enabling them to support technical decision-making, manage project risk, coordinate cross-functional activities, and help ensure predictable delivery of innovative products.

The Project Manager is expected to independently manage moderately complex development programs, drive execution discipline, coordinate stakeholders across functions, and maintain strong customer and business awareness throughout program execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate engineering development programs from concept, architecture, design, validation, and release through manufacturing transition.
  • Drive integrated project planning across electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, systems engineering, quality, regulatory, and product management teams.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, dependency tracking, risk registers, action items, and program status reporting.
  • Facilitate project status updates, stakeholder communication, and decision-making discussions.
  • Identify and track project risks, issues, resource constraints; Support mitigation planning and execution.
  • Lead project meetings, milestone tracking, issue management, and follow-up activities.
  • Drive accountability across teams through structured communication and action tracking.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with customer requirements, product quality expectations, and organizational objectives.
  • Translate technical issues into clear and concise communication for leadership stakeholders.
  • Support PMO process improvements, reporting enhancements, and cross-functional coordination initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • Master’s degree or advanced technical degree is a plus
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Project Management, ability to lead multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
  • 2-4 years’ experience in consumer electronics, professional electronics, embedded systems, audio/video systems, networking products, controls systems, IoT, or related industries.
  • 2-4 years familiarity with NPI processes and manufacturing readiness coordination.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working with offshore development teams and external development partners
  • 1-3 years knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements management, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
  • 2-4 years’ experience contributing to PMO process improvement initiatives
  • Strong Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Power BI skills
  • Strong Project Management process skills
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Jira and best practices knowledge to execute feature releases
  • Manufacturing process familiarity
  • Electronic and/or Mechanical product knowledge
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Technical product knowledge

Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($72,500 - $117,500) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
