Kentro is hiring for a Project Manager (Journeyman) to support the Enterprise Data and Analytics Team (EDAT). The selected candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of technical projects that advance USASOC's data modernization and digital transformation initiatives. Working closely with Government stakeholders, engineers, developers, and business analysts, the Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with mission priorities.

This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and experience managing technical teams within a DoD environment utilizing Agile methodologies.

Location: Onsite in Fort Bragg, NC (Fayetteville, NC)

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day execution of multiple technical projects supporting the USASOC EDAT program.
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Project Schedules (IPS), project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project activities across software development, data engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring timely resolution of project impediments.
  • Collaborate with Government Product Owners, technical leads, and stakeholders to define project priorities and acceptance criteria.
  • Track project performance using Agile metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, briefing materials, and project documentation for Government leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, DoD policies, cybersecurity standards, and organizational governance processes.
  • Support release planning, change management, and configuration management activities.
  • Coordinate resource planning and workload management across multiple project teams.
  • Maintain project documentation within SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or other approved collaboration tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, team collaboration, and delivery processes.
  • Support Program Management Office (PMO) activities including risk management, action item tracking, lessons learned, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be substituted where applicable.
  • Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of project management experience supporting Information Technology or software development initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Government, or Special Operations programs.
  • Working knowledge of Agile project management methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, risk management, scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or SAFe Agilist certification.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, cloud modernization, or DevSecOps initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Army, USASOC, or Special Operations mission environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks including RMF, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust principles.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Secret Clearance minimum, TS/SCI preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen
