CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Finance Analyst I.

Type: Contract Job Title: Finance Analyst I Location: Fort Worth, TX Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Fort Worth, TX Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Description

The Finance Analyst I will support the Controller and plant management team with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and analysis. This role will help ensure financial accuracy, monitor spending and expenses, support audits and internal controls, and provide financial insights to support business decisions and process improvements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly financial close, reporting, forecasting, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
  • Prepare financial and management reports and ensure required reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to plant management and the Controller.
  • Assist with budgeting, planning, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Monitor spending and expense variances and partner with department managers to support cost control.
  • Support internal and external controls, GAAP accounting principles, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct audit activities, including inventory cycle counts.
  • Provide financial analysis for capital projects, cost-reduction initiatives, and other business activities.
  • Identify and support opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist with resolving financial and operational issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and presentations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong computer proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to connect financial data to business impacts and recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Finance teams and business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions, reviewing inputs, and identifying process improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
