In this role, you'll:
Lead business analysis, process analysis, and functional design for NSW Motorways. The role evaluates current-state operations, processes and systems to define streamlined, fit-for-purpose future-state solutions and designs by partnering with architects, stream leads, IT stakeholders, ERP vendors, and external consultants, the role ensures end-to-end solution integrity and delivery readiness. It plans BA activity, maintains high artifact quality, manages interdependencies, and provides decision support to strengthen program governance.
Working as part of a team delivering business analysis, process improvement and transformation outcomes across NSW Motorways projects and programs, this role will see you lead discovery activities to analyse current-state processes, controls, data and systems, while facilitating workshops with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, resolve gaps and achieve alignment. You will work within the established Business Analysis framework, applying standards, modelling conventions, and quality gates to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery outcomes.
You will lead the development of future-state process designs and functional solution options, leveraging contemporary business analysis methodologies including BPMN, user stories, data models and functional specifications. Working across Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid delivery environments, you will define and manage BA work plans, maintain end-to-end requirements traceability, and align milestones, dependencies and deliverables with broader project objectives. You will also partner with vendors and external consultants to review and validate functional designs, proactively manage design risks and operational impacts, and support effective governance through transparent decision-making.

Your exceptional stakeholder facilitation, communication and influencing skills, combined with expertise in business analysis, process improvement and delivery management, will see you excel in navigating complex stakeholder environments and delivering practical, business-focused solutions. You are recognised for your ability to build strong relationships, drive consensus, and translate business needs into effective outcomes, while mentoring junior Business Analysts and contributing to the ongoing growth and maturity of the Business Analysis practice.
You’re recognized as a strategic and analytical thinker with strong influencing and communication capabilities, skilled at facilitating business analysis, stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering and solution development, experienced in analysing business needs across complex portfolios of initiatives and applying contemporary business analysis methodologies and best-practice processes.
