We’re looking for a Senior Node.js Backend Engineer to lead a strategic financial-services project.

You’ll own the architecture, adaptation, and deployment of scalable, resilient, multi-region AWS systems. Working with Web, Mobile, Product, and Engineering teams, you’ll build cloud-native, event-driven solutions that support high transaction volumes and reliable customer experiences.

This role is open to candidates in Argentina, preferably Buenos Aires or Córdoba, for occasional in-person collaboration.

This is you

• 7+ years of backend development experience, with expert proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript;

• Strong experience building and operating cloud-native, high-availability, multi-region solutions on AWS, including Amazon EKS and Kubernetes;

• Deep expertise in event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka;

• Solid knowledge of relational databases (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL), Clean Architecture, design patterns, and maintainable coding practices;

• Proven ability to independently lead technical initiatives, with strong ownership and proactive communication across engineering and business teams;

• Native Spanish and intermediate English.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience in high-scale, high-transaction, or fintech environments, including legacy-system modernization and migration to cloud-native AWS architectures;

• Knowledge of distributed-system observability, monitoring, logging, incident management, and engineering best practices such as code reviews and technical documentation;

• Experience collaborating with Web and Mobile teams in Agile/Scrum product environments;

• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.

This is your role

• Own the architecture, adaptation, and AWS multi-region deployment of existing systems;

• Design and deliver highly available, resilient, low-latency backend services supporting high transaction volumes and asynchronous integrations;

• Build and evolve event-driven, cloud-native solutions using Kafka, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and EKS;

• Apply Clean Architecture, design patterns, and engineering standards to ensure scalable, testable, and maintainable code;

• Partner with Web, Mobile, Product, and other stakeholders to turn business needs into reliable technical solutions;

• Drive technical decisions, risk mitigation, and end-to-end delivery within Agile/Scrum teams.
