We're looking for a proactive, technically strong, and detail-oriented Senior Backend Python Developer to join our team 🐶🚀. You'll work on a strategic project for one of our banking clients, designing and maintaining robust, scalable microservices that support critical financial systems.

This role requires strong ownership, solid backend architecture judgment, and the ability to build systems that are secure, performant, and built to scale. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-standards environment typical of the financial industry.

Responsibilities 🤓

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Python, following best practices in architecture and scalability.

• Own the full lifecycle of services: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Define and evolve architectural patterns to ensure system scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define technical solutions aligned with business needs.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts across services.

• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Contribute to technical decision-making regarding infrastructure, tooling, and system design.

• Support the definition of API contracts and integration patterns across services.

• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting for production systems.

Required Skills 💻

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, with strong expertise in Python.

• Solid experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures.

• Strong understanding of scalability, distributed systems, and high-availability design patterns.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.\

• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and asynchronous communication patterns (message queues, event-driven architecture).

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Experience working in agile teams and collaborating across multiple stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in demanding, high-compliance environments (financial/banking industry experience is a plus).
