Responsibilities π€
- Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Python, following best practices in architecture and scalability.
- Own the full lifecycle of services: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Define and evolve architectural patterns to ensure system scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define technical solutions aligned with business needs.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts across services.
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Contribute to technical decision-making regarding infrastructure, tooling, and system design.
- Support the definition of API contracts and integration patterns across services.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting for production systems.
Required Skills π»
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, with strong expertise in Python.
- Solid experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of scalability, distributed systems, and high-availability design patterns.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.\
- Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and asynchronous communication patterns (message queues, event-driven architecture).
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in agile teams and collaborating across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in demanding, high-compliance environments (financial/banking industry experience is a plus).
