Title: Compliance Data Analyst

Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a Compliance Data Analyst to join the Risk and Compliance team based in Naples, FL.

Main Objective:

The Compliance Data Analyst supports Arthrex’s Global Risk Management & Compliance (“RM&C”)’s implementation of the company’s corporate compliance program by supporting the Compliance Monitoring and Analytics program within the Global Compliance Assurance (“GCA”) team. This role is responsible for supporting the GCA’s effort to test the effectiveness of the corporate compliance program through the performance of complex analyses, designing analytical tools, and providing actionable insights through analysis of compliance relevant data. The individual will report to the Compliance Monitoring and Analytics Lead, based in Naples, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design and development of data-driven compliance monitoring activities designed to identify potential risk areas consistent with DOJ and OIG compliance program guidance
  • Analyzes structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential outliers
  • Uses advanced statistical techniques mathematical analyses to solve complex business problems
  • Leverages machine learning and AI to perform complex analytical tasks
  • Generates routine compliance analytics reports, dashboards, and data extracts as needed by Compliance team members
  • Helps validate data accuracy and completeness by performing data quality checks and documenting known limitations or assumptions
  • Supports ad hoc data requests related to internal reviews, investigations, audits, or regulatory inquiries under the guidance of senior team members
  • Tracks auditing and monitoring outcomes and assist in maintaining audit trails showing how potential issues were identified, reviewed, and resolved or escalated
  • Collaborates with internal and external business partners to understand data sources and business processes relevant to compliance risk
  • Assists in developing and updating monitoring logic and reports based on enforcement trends, internal findings, or compliance leadership direction
  • Prepares clear, factual summaries of analytical findings to support compliance review discussions and management reporting under the guidance of senior team members
  • Participates in maintaining standard operating procedures and documentation for compliance analytics processes
  • Stays informed on DOJ and OIG enforcement actions, guidance, and internal policies to better understand compliance risk indicators and monitoring objectives
  • Solicits feedback from stakeholders to continuously evaluate and improve the quality of reports and dashboards.
  • Assists in the administration of audit tools for workpaper documentation and issues tracking.
  • Supports the Global Compliance Audit team with supplemental data and analytical tools to facilitate effective risk-based audit approach.
  • Delivers training to Risk Management & Compliance team members and other stakeholders on effectively using analytic tools and solutions.
  • Supports the development and implementation of various RM&C department initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the company’s global compliance program.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science and/or Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Prior experience in data analysis, compliance monitoring, compliance auditing or other relevant professional experience is preferred.
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is preferred
  • Experience with common Business Intelligence and Analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
  • Experience with programming and query languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is preferred
  • Advanced degree in a related field preferred.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Intermediate (or better) level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and other specialized software.
