About the Department

Join our dynamic IT department at One Ford Place, the corporate headquarters of Henry Ford Health in Detroit's New Center. Our team is at the forefront of innovation, supporting the entire HFHS enterprise network, including critical integrations with CCS, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, HAP, and shared business locations. We thrive in a walkable, artsy environment, steps away from Amtrak, the QLINE, and the Fisher Buildings shops and cafes. Role Overview

As the Manager, Network Engineering, you will lead the strategic direction, cost-effective solutions, and operational excellence for the Henry Ford Health enterprise network. You¿ll manage a team of architects, senior engineers, and supervisors, ensuring seamless integration with healthcare systems and devices. Your role is critical in supporting medical applications, improving network performance, and collaborating with business units to drive innovation and reliability.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a team of architects, senior engineers, and supervisors to ensure network operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop strategic direction and cost-effective network solutions.
  • Oversee network integrations with CCS, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, HAP, and shared business locations.
  • Improve network performance, capacity, and availability using advanced hardware and software technologies.
  • Support medical applications and devices, including Epic Systems, GE Definium XRay, GE EKG, Alaris intravenous pumps, RTLS, and wayfinding.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management, or related field, or equivalent Health Care IT Network experience.
  • Minimum ten (10) year's experience managing complex enterprise networks.
  • Minimum five (5) year's experience in an IT network leadership role, working in a hospital/healthcare environment supporting medical applications and devices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic Systems and GE healthcare devices.
  • Familiarity with RTLS and wayfinding technologies.
