  • Location: Sunshine Hospital
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (until May 2027)
  • Salary: Admin Grade 5 (commensurate w/ experience) + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role:

The Administration Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight of the administrative and operational support functions within Engineering Services. The role drives operational excellence through effective governance, compliance, reporting, financial oversight, contractor management, and continuous improvement, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with organisational objectives.

Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, the Administration Manager strengthens business performance, leads a high-performing team, and contributes to Western Health's mission by supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare environments for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership of the Engineering Services administration function, fostering a high-performing, customer-focused team.
  • Lead operational excellence by driving continuous improvement, process optimisation, and service performance across administrative functions.
  • Ensure governance and compliance through oversight of reporting, contractor management, risk management, and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage financial and business performance, including budget oversight, expenditure monitoring, financial reporting, and business planning support.
  • Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver organisational priorities, enhance service delivery, and support Western Health's strategic objectives.

About you:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing administrative or operational support teams in a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, financial management, and business reporting, with the ability to analyse data and drive informed decision-making.
  • Proven experience in leading process improvement and change initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Highly developed organisational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, customer-centred outcomes.
