CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Project Manager (IBM Z Migration) position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Duties:
- Manage software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z Mainframe platform.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, scope, resources, milestones, and contractual deliverables.
- Consult with management and stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, funding, procedures, and resource requirements.
- Lead project planning and execution, including risk management, change control, issue resolution, and status reporting.
- Communicate project status, milestones, scope changes, challenges, risks, and requirements to client and internal leadership.
- Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate client, consulting, and third-party resources.
- Review processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, and project delivery.
- Establish and promote project management best practices and continuous process improvement.
- Travel to client sites across North America as needed.
Skills:
- Strong technical project management and project planning skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of project scope, cost, schedule, risk, issue, and change management.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint.
- IBM Z/Mainframe knowledge strongly preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of technical project management experience.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional technical projects.
- Experience managing multi-year project plans involving client, consulting, and third-party resources.
- Experience with project planning, tracking, change control, risk management, and contractual deliverables.
- IBM Z Mainframe experience preferred.
- Experience with IBM Z software products preferred.
- Experience with IBM Z application development, including COBOL or PL/I, is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification required.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95.00 to $130.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
