We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled QA Manager to lead and strengthen our Quality Assurance function. The ideal candidate will have 10–17 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, and SDET practices, with a proven track record of managing QA teams and delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products.

As a QA Manager, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall quality assurance strategy, establishing robust testing processes, and ensuring that products meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to drive a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual and automated testing, SDET practices, test strategy, test automation frameworks, and quality metrics. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects, mentoring QA engineers, and driving continuous improvements in testing methodologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of QA Engineers, Test Engineers, and SDETs.
  • Define and execute the overall QA strategy, testing standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, test cases, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of automated testing across web, mobile, APIs, and backend systems.
  • Work closely with Software Development Engineers to promote SDET principles and shift-left testing practices.
  • Ensure effective functional, regression, integration, system, performance, and end-to-end testing.
  • Review and improve existing test automation frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to understand requirements and identify potential quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
  • Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track product quality and testing effectiveness.
  • Identify, analyze, document, and track defects while ensuring timely resolution.
  • Drive root cause analysis for critical production issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure testing activities are aligned with Agile development methodologies and release timelines.
  • Promote continuous improvement in QA processes, automation coverage, and overall engineering quality.
  • Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and release planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10–17 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or SDET roles.
  • Strong experience in leading and managing QA or testing teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of Software Testing, QA methodologies, and SDET practices.
  • Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks and strategies.
  • Solid understanding of functional, regression, integration, API, system, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience working closely with software development and engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
