Training and Experience: Good communication skills required. Food & Beverage hosting experience preferred but not required.

Job Knowledge: Must be able to interact with members in a positive manner in order to assist them during their dining experience. Must have working knowledge of dining room service and POS system. Knowledge of common laws of courtesy.

Job Summary: Ensure Members have completely enjoyed their visit to the club by acting professionally, controlling the flow of seating, having a positive attitude, learning and using members names, exceeding members expectations and being a team player. Answering phones, taking reservations and maintaining the podium and its organization.

Physical Abilities: Must be able to work on feet, moving about at a quick pace for several hours at a time; Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 25 pounds, to include furniture, trash, glasses, dishes, ice, beer, wine, liquor - individually, or racks and/or trays, or by cases.

Job Duties and Functions

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends and holidays. This position is primarily Tuesday through Saturday evenings.
  • Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Accurately take reservations for the dining room and club events.
  • Confirm all reservations for lunch and dinner.
  • Greet members and guests immediately with a smile and warm greeting.
  • Assist members and guests with any requests and control the flow of seating in the dining room.
  • Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
  • Requires strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must exceed customer/team expectations.
  • Must be in proper uniform, crisp, clean, and in good repair, upon entering the property, including wearing name tag. Demeanor must be professional and welcoming.
  • Become proficient on all appropriate equipment and safety features.
  • Maintain menu cleanliness.
  • Ensure all side work is completed thoroughly at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Perform other jobs that will assist in quality member service as assigned by the Dining Room Manager, Membership Director and General Manager
