Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Android application development. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Requires hands-on experience with Kotlin, modern Android architecture, UI development, and integration with backend services. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that support a broader ecosystem of web, Android, and iOS applications. Analyzes user requirements and contributes to technical solutions under regular supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
  • Build reusable components and scalable mobile solutions following established architecture standards.
  • Design and implement solutions using MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Android design patterns.
  • Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, iOS, and Engineering teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, backend services, and authentication platforms.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT, SSO, OTP, and biometric authentication where applicable.
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
  • Develop and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mobile application issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of small to medium complexity features and modules.
  • Work within Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Document development processes, technical designs, and implementation decisions.
  • Implement security, performance, accessibility, and data protection best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of Android application development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Android SDK.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI development.
  • Understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Android design patterns.
  • Experience with Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with Jetpack Components including Navigation, Room, and ViewModel.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions using JWT, OAuth, SSO, OTP, or biometric authentication.
  • Experience with unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Dependency Injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
  • Experience with Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications, and Performance Monitoring.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile deployments.
  • Experience integrating Google Fit, Health Connect, wearable devices, or other health-related platforms.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and storage integrations.
  • Familiarity with mobile security and application performance monitoring.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
