Job Description
We're looking for a Data, AI & Emerging Technology Risk Senior Analyst to join our Group Risk team.
This is an opportunity to help shape how Legal & General oversees and manages risk across some of the most exciting and fast-moving areas of technology. You'll play a key role in ensuring data, AI and emerging technologies are implemented responsibly, safely and in line with appropriate governance standards.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you'll provide independent oversight, challenge and insight while helping the organisation navigate an evolving regulatory and technology landscape.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing second line oversight of Data, AI and Emerging Technology risk frameworks
- Reviewing and challenging governance, controls and risk management activities across the business
- Supporting assurance reviews and thematic risk assessments
- Monitoring emerging technology trends and identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Producing insightful reports and papers for senior leadership and risk committees
- Working with first line teams to assess policy implementation and control effectiveness
- Developing meaningful risk metrics and management information
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across technology, data and risk functions
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience in second line risk, audit or assurance within Financial Services
- Knowledge of data governance, data management, AI governance, privacy or technology risk
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- Strong report writing, communication and presentation skills
- Experience supporting governance, change or oversight activities
- Understanding of cloud technologies and modern data environments
- Knowledge of evolving regulations including GDPR or AI-related frameworks
- A collaborative mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to haves:
- GDPR knowledge
- EU AI Act knowledge
- Cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
- CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CDMP, DCAM or AIGP certification
- Emerging technology risk experience
- Insurance or banking sector experience
