Software Engineer Intern Summary

Software Engineers are responsible for the building and or configuration of software solutions within their business portfolio. They ensure software is delivered to high quality standards by collaborating with their agile team members and by leveraging unit testing and continuous integration. They participate in the estimation of work required to deliver software features.

Software Engineer – Intern Summary – Pure Java Team

As a Software Engineering Intern on the Pure Java Team, you will work off features related to our ADI and DEAR application across both Java and .Net C#. You will gain hands-on experience delivering enterprise applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop features and provide fixes and support for the ADI and/or DEAR applications.
  • Contribute to enhancements that support key business processes and customer experiences.
  • Support software releases, testing, and production readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile team.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency, software quality, and team productivity.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience with Java and/or .Net C#
  • Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, Maven or other Java/.Net build tools, pipeline principles, CI/CD, or cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of programming and software development concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn.

Desirable

  • AWS knowledge - S3, Lambdas, SQS
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.
  • Interest in AI-assisted software engineering and automation.
