Standard Schedule: Core departmental hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT. however additional time may be required to meet deadlines.

FLSA Status: Exempt/Salary

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000

Job Responsibility: The Senior Financial Analyst is a highly analytical and technically advanced role responsible for corporate controlling, financial planning, and continuous process optimization. This role executes complex month-end closings, deep-dive cost accounting, and comprehensive budgeting across all departments. Leveraging a modern tech stack (SAP Business ByDesign, Salesforce, Jedox, OneStream, and TIP), alongside full access to Google Gemini, the position is expected to champion Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automate workflows and drive process improvements. A strong foundation in basic accounting combined with advanced analytical controlling skills is required to deliver actionable insights to senior management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Execute complex month-end closing procedures including Revenue and Cost of Manufacturing allocation, headcount/hours tracking, EBIT breakdowns, and comprehensive P&L reviews. Ensure basic accounting and tax principles are upheld, including expense tracking.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of corporate budgets and rolling forecasts across multiple cost centers. Conduct proactive monthly departmental budget reviews with managers to ensure alignment.

Cost Accounting & Analysis: Perform in-depth cost accounting tasks, including hourly rate determinations, variance analysis, and monitoring expense reports to support strategic, data-driven decisions.

AI-Driven Process Improvement: Champion the use of AI tools to automate manual tasks, optimize data models, and eliminate process inefficiencies within the finance department.

Systems & Data Management: Act as a power user for SAP Business ByDesign. Manage SAP organizational unit maintenance, support ERP enhancement projects, and maintain data integrity across all reporting systems.

Cross-Functional Support & Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide dedicated analytical support for key accounts and parent company requests. Deliver independent on-demand analyses for executive leadership and actively assist team members on joint financial initiatives

Central Liaison for Parent Company: Act as the primary point of contact for all financial inquiries, ad-hoc reporting requests, and corporate alignments originating from the German parent company. Ensure transparent and timely communication of local financial data to global stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or other related degree program. Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis, corporate controlling, or cost accounting. Organizational Relationships:This position has continuous face to face phone and email contact with different departments and various levels within the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst is in regular contact mostly via phone and email with senior level employees of the parent corporation and various subsidiaries. The position works with autonomy, being managed by and reporting to the Head of Controlling.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Controlling & Cost Accounting: Highly analytical mindset with deep knowledge of cost accounting and business controlling.
  • Accounting: Solid understanding of bookkeeping, double-entry accounting, and IFRS.
  • Tech & AI Affinity: Exceptional dedication to utilizing Artificial Intelligence to enhance and streamline financial workflows.
  • System Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Business ByDesign strongly preferred) and CRM tools (Salesforce). Hands-on experience with reporting and cash planning systems (Jedox, OneStream, TIP) is highly advantageous.
  • Expert proficiency within Excel and/ or Google Sheets with advanced quantitative modeling skills to handle big data and produce complex financial reports.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical specifications into clear terms for customers and internal stakeholders. Must collaborate effectively with international factory partners.

Physical Demands of Job: This position is an office position which requires continuous use of the computer (more than 5.6 hours per day) and is performed in a seated position the majority of the work day.
