The Opportunity

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing Buildings & Property team within the Victoria. You’ll work in and lead tight-knit, energetic and diverse teams, based in our Melbourne CBD office or on site with professional flexibility. Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, you will play a key role in delivering successful outcomes for our clients across sectors including Commercial Office, Education, Retail, Residential, Aviation and Property Advisory for both public and private sector clients. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects from inception through to completion while working alongside a high-performing and collaborative team. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex building and infrastructure projects from initial strategy and planning through to completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic project leadership, including programme, risk, procurement and commercial management.
  • In particular, advise clients on procurement models, commercial risk & opportunities in their contracts with contractors and consultants.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Identify business development opportunities and support the growth of client relationships and market presence.
  • Mentor and support Project Managers and junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

About You

  • Extensive project management experience within a project management consultancy, Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor, engineering consultancy, architecture practice or property/development organisation.
  • Approximately 8+ years proven experience delivering complex projects across sectors such as Commercial Office, Education, Retail, Residential, Aviation and/or Property Advisory.
  • Strong commercial, financial and risk management capability with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional client relationship management, communication and report writing skills with the ability to influence and advise at senior levels.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving successful project outcomes in complex environments.
  • A collaborative leader who contributes positively to team culture both internally and externally, and aligns with Bureau Veritas' values and commitment to excellence.
