Full description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced and motivated technologist to join our Japan Automotive & Manufacturing team as a Solutions Architect. In this role, you will be a trusted technical advisor to leading automotive and manufacturing companies in Japan — including global OEMs, their group companies, and suppliers — helping them modernize their IT estates and adopt cloud at scale.

As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers' IT and engineering organizations, AWS Sales, and cross-functional teams to design highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures. You will guide customers through migration and modernization journeys — from legacy infrastructure assessment through to production operations on AWS — and drive the adoption of AWS services that solve real business problems.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical breadth across enterprise IT, hands-on experience with cloud migration, and the interpersonal skills to build trust with senior technical stakeholders. You should be comfortable connecting technology decisions to measurable business value, and be able to think strategically about architecture, business, and organizational challenges.

If you're ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities - Design and review cloud architectures with customers, covering migration, modernization, security, and operational excellence - Lead technical deep-dives and hands-on workshops to help customers evaluate and adopt AWS services - Partner with AWS Sales to develop and execute account strategies that accelerate customer cloud adoption - Guide customers through migration planning — from portfolio assessment and workload prioritization through to production cutover - Build trusted relationships with senior technical stakeholders and enable them as internal cloud advocates - Act as the technical liaison between customers and AWS service teams, channeling customer feedback into product roadmaps - Capture and share best practices across the AWS Solutions Architect community

A day in the life As a Solutions Architect on the Japan Automotive & Manufacturing team, you will work directly with technology and engineering leaders at Japan's leading automotive manufacturers and their group companies. A typical day might involve leading a technical deep-dive with a customer's IT organization on cloud architecture and migration strategy, collaborating with product engineering teams on emerging technology adoption, and partnering with AWS Sales, Service teams, and Professional Services to shape and advance customer initiatives. You will move fluidly between hands-on technical work and strategic conversations with senior stakeholders, translating business objectives into cloud solutions that accelerate your customers' transformation.
