The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Software & Data Engineer – Advanced Technology Group (ATG) to join our Baltimore, MD or West Palm Beach, FL office.
This is an exciting opportunity for a developing technology professional with 2–5 years of experience who enjoys solving complex problems in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. You will develop software applications, enterprise data solutions, system integrations, automation, and cloud-based capabilities that support PRIME AE’s business lines and corporate operations.
Working within our Advanced Technology Group, you will collaborate with technology professionals, engineers, project managers, and business leaders while gaining exposure to software development, data engineering, Microsoft Azure, artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies. Success in this role means not only producing strong technical work, but also being responsive, sharing knowledge, cross-training with teammates, and contributing to the success of the broader team.
What You’ll Do:
As a Software & Data Engineer, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise technology solutions while working across applications, databases, APIs, data pipelines, cloud services, and emerging technologies.
You will translate business and technical needs into practical solutions, collaborate across disciplines, and take increasing ownership of technical assignments. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing, cross-training, and continuous improvement while developing your technical and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications, APIs, automation tools, system integrations, and data solutions using Python, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and related technologies.
- Develop and maintain data models, queries, pipelines, and integrations while supporting enterprise data, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and support applications and services within Microsoft Azure, including cloud integrations, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and performance.
- Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, machine learning, GIS, and intelligent automation, to practical business and engineering needs.
- Translate business and technical requirements into practical solutions, from prototypes through testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate across ATG, IT, engineering, and business teams while participating in code reviews, documentation, source control, CI/CD, and quality practices.
- Contribute to cross-training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement while taking increasing ownership of technical workstreams and supporting teammates as priorities evolve.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field.
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in software development, data engineering, data science, cloud development, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong programming capabilities in Python, C#/.NET, or comparable languages, along with strong SQL, relational database, and data modeling skills.
- Experience with REST APIs, web services, application architecture, Git-based source control, and modern software development practices.
- Experience developing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting applications within Microsoft Azure or a comparable cloud environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across disciplines and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to teamwork, knowledge sharing, cross-training, continuous learning, and professional growth, with the ability to take ownership of assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
