POSITION SUMMARY

CVS Health Digital is looking for hands-on, passionate people who want to join a high energy and growing team to make a difference in customers’ lives and who want to be on the forefront of digital innovation that aims to reinvent what a pharmacy and a health care company can be in the digital world. Currently we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Android, reporting to the Senior Manager - Rx Digital Engineering (Pharmacy Consumer Wellness organization) who will work on the CVS and Health100 (H100) applications. This Senior Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of Android applications and will be an essential part of our Android team. The team will Build, Test and Ship new features on an agile team, delivering the latest and greatest applications to our consumers.

As Senior Engineer, you will be working with cross-functional teams such as design and product teams to deliver great user experiences. You will partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and fellow feature Front End and Back End Engineers to build products used to make our powerful omni channel shopping and pharmacy an easy by seamless experience. You will be considered a software engineering with best practices for the full software development life cycle as well as in our Pharmacy domain.

Expectations For The Role

  • Developing, integrating and deploying Android Applications
  • Write efficient, well-documented code with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose / Java in Android using Android Studio
  • Work in OOP and design patterns, such as MVVM, MVC, Strategy, etc.
  • Create core libraries, application framework, and Android architecture.
  • Work with concurrency including Thread, Handler, java, Coroutines and scheduling techniques
  • Work with Product Management, Engineering, and UX team members to influence the android application development

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in software development working on enterprise-class applications
  • 3+ years of experience working on Android front-end development
  • 3+ years of experience developing for multiple device sizes such as mobile phone as well as tablets, also including portrait & landscape
  • 3+ years of experience and understanding of the entire Mobile SDLC using Android SDK

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to effectively handle and protect sensitive and confidential company information
  • Good understanding of ADA and other regulatory compliances including PCI, PII and PHI
  • Promote proper implementation of Agile processes, techniques and principles
  • Good Knowledge of CI/CD, build automation tools like Jenkins
  • Pro-active attitude; highly self-motivated and able to work without constant oversight
  • Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively in visual, verbal, and written form

EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
