Data Scientist I – 4-Month Internship/Co-op (Winter 2027)

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Salary range (but not limited to):

66,500 - 83,100

We are looking for Data Scientist interns for our growing team! 

 

What you’ll do here:  

• Transform complex data sets into meaningful conclusions and recommendations. 

• Complete high-quality coding and leverage commonly used packages & libraries to perform assigned technical tasks assign other assigned technical tasks. 

• Gain experience working with various types of data, including geomatics, telematics, textual data, and image data. 

• Technical skills: Python, NLP/LLM.

 

What you bring to the table:  

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a field related to data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or any other related field. 

• Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Winter 2027 Term in hybrid mode (January to April). 

• Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school in next Summer or Fall 2027 following your internship. 

• No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.   

• Previous internship or work experience in data science, machine learning, or deep learning is an asset; experience in a financial services company is also an asset. 

• Strong curiosity, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for technology. 

• Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning. 

• Self-reliant, with a strong sense of responsibility.
