Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based in Kuwait City. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and local regulatory authorities. Working independently from the client's office in Kuwait City, you will ensure effective project coordination, communication, and execution throughout the project lifecycle, with a focus on stakeholder management and on-site oversight.
- Represent the client in meetings with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities, advocating for client interests and project requirements, with fluency in Arabic to communicate effectively with local stakeholders
- Coordinate and communicate technical, commercial, and project requirements between all stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits and provide periodic progress reports.
- Identify, track, and escalate project risks, issues, delays, and technical concerns.
- Attend project coordination meetings and support resolution of outstanding actions.
- Follow up on permits, approvals, inspections, and utility connections with relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and client requirements.
- Support project completion, handover activities, and final walkthroughs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in project coordination, construction, or project management, preferably within the oil & gas sector
- Proven experience working in Kuwait with demonstrated knowledge of local standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
- Established track record of direct engagement with Kuwaiti local authorities and government agencies
- Fluent Arabic speaker (essential requirement)
- Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
