Role Summary

This is a newly created graduate position within the Business Operations team of a rapidly growing financial technology business. The role will involve building out and maintaining the processes and procedures needed to ensure that the operations department continues to scale with control and support the morphing requirements of a fast-growing business. 

The role will involve working closely with team members across the organisation including Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, HR, Engineering and Security to ensure that robust and effective controls and processes are in place to support all aspects of the operations of the company. The role will involve a significant amount of project work given the high growth nature of the business which means that considerable emphasis is placed on new initiatives to help drive the continued success of the organisation. 

A key part of the role will involve driving the operational aspects of our key business initiatives including international expansion to the US and APAC and expanding our distribution channels. Additionally, the role will include work to support external audits and certification processes required for regulatory and client acquisition purposes.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day BAU processes and functions within the business operations space.
  • Build out and maintain policies, procedures and controls required to run the business effectively and scale with control.
  • Support external audit engagements and certification processes to help drive and evidence our control agenda.
  • Work closely with the internal security team to ensure access to company resources is controlled effectively.
  • Support the customer onboarding processes to ensure due diligence is correctly performed.
  • Manage the procurement process for future employees, liaising with HR, the hiring managers and Internal IT Support.
  • Work closely with the HR team to facilitate the employee onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Support building foundations to scale the business across geographical locations and in different market verticals.
  • Contribute to building out KPIs and metrics for the operations department to ensure clear visibility and provide a basis for sound well informed decision making.
  • Work with the wider FINBOURNE team to execute the strategy of the business.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Highly motivated with a desire to take on new challenges and operate outside of comfort zone.
  • Ability to deliver multiple workstreams under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Desire to learn and expand knowledge of the financial technology industry and capital markets.
  • Excellent communication skills with people of varying levels of seniority.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and the ability to quickly learn and utilise new workplace technologies necessary to operate the department (e.g. MS PowerApps).
  • Proactive approach to managing workload and willingness to take ownership of deliveries.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
