Full description

We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to join us at Telia. I’m Kerstin Helldal, leading the Product & Analytics team, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on turning trusted data into smarter decisions for Telia Finance.

Are you passionate about turning data into business impact? At Telia Finance, we are strengthening our Product & Analytics team and are now looking for an Analytics Engineer who enjoys exploring data, finding patterns, and helping the business make smarter decisions.

In this role, you will work closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams to improve data quality, generate actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

This is a great opportunity for someone who combines strong analytical capability with curiosity, business understanding, and a pragmatic mindset.

What you’ll do:

As an Analytics Engineer at Telia Finance, you will work with structured and semi-structured data to identify trends, uncover business opportunities, and improve how we use data across the company.

  • Support the establishment of a lakehouse architecture and medallion framework, including data modelling standards and semantic layer design.
  • Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines across bronze, silver, and gold layers to ensure high-quality, trusted, and reusable data assets.
  • Design and implement scalable data quality, testing, and governance practices to ensure reliable, well-documented, and trusted data products.
  • Drive data validation, lineage, and observability across the Lakehouse environment, supporting the onboarding of new data sources and the continuous evolution of analytics datasets.
  • Own the maintenance, continuous development, and adoption of the Qlik Sense analytics platform, designing and delivering dashboards, reports, and semantic models that provide trusted insights and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into scalable solutions, support data-driven decision-making, and identify opportunities for new insights, use cases, and improvements.
  • Support the organization’s journey towards becoming increasingly data-driven by fostering data literacy, promoting best practices, and enabling stakeholders to make better decisions through trusted data and insights.

What will help you thrive in this role:

We believe you combine analytical capability with curiosity, business understanding, and a pragmatic mindset. You enjoy working across business and technology, and you can turn complex data into insights that others can act on.

  • Proven experience working as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, Analytics Engineer, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience with Qlik Sense, or other BI and visualization tools.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience working with data quality and/or data governance.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python or similar.
  • Experience from agile development teams.
  • Academic background in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or related fields.

Tech & tools

We work with modern analytics and BI environments (SQL, Phyton, Qlik Sense, Datalake platforms). Experience with Qlik Sense is highly valued.
