About the role
This is a full-time, 12-month contractor position with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.We are looking for a full-time QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of the Insense platform.
You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering throughout the product lifecycle, from reviewing requirements and identifying risks to validating releases and investigating production issues.
This is a manual QA role for someone who enjoys understanding how products work, thinking beyond predefined test cases, and helping the team identify quality risks early.
📍You must be within CET ±2 hours
⏰This is a full time role with a flexible schedule, you must be available every working day between 9 am and 12 pm EST.
Who we are looking for
Required:
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer testing web applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and test design.
- Hands-on experience with exploratory, functional, regression, and API testing.
- Able to review requirements, identify risks, and raise questions before development starts.
- Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL or GraphQL for investigation and data validation.
- Experience investigating issues using logs, monitoring, or analytics tools (Sentry, Rollbar, Amplitude, or similar).
- Experience using AI tools to improve testing and investigation workflows while validating the results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional product teams.
Responsibilities
Product Quality Validation
Help ensure every release is ready for users.
You'll:
- Test new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
- Validate key user flows and important edge cases.
- Identify issues before they reach production.
- Communicate quality risks clearly.
Early Quality Involvement
Get involved early to prevent issues before development starts.
You'll:
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify gaps, edge cases, and potential risks.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to clarify expected behavior.
Risk-Based Testing
Focus your effort where it matters most.
You'll:
- Prioritize testing based on product risk.
- Combine structured and exploratory testing.
- Ensure important regression scenarios are covered.
- Keep documentation simple and useful.
Collaboration & Investigation
Partner with the team to investigate issues and improve product quality.
You'll:
- Write clear and actionable bug reports.
- Investigate issues using logs, APIs, and monitoring tools.
- Share timely feedback throughout development.
- Help improve future testing based on production learnings.
AI-Assisted Testing
Use AI to work smarter, not replace critical thinking.
You'll:
- Use AI to support test design, investigations, and documentation.
- Review and validate AI-generated output.
- Spend more time on exploratory testing, risk analysis, and collaboration.
- Continuously improve your workflow with new tools.
This is a fully remote contractor role open to candidates based within the EMEA time zone. Compensation is paid in USD. Kindly select the "Worldwide" option if your location is not listed.
