Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join the Buymie team in an on-site role. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products across web, backend, and mobile applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain comprehensive test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and release plans.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure product quality.
• Monitor and report testing progress against project milestones, proactively identifying risks and proposing appropriate mitigation plans.
• Work closely with business teams to support the planning, creation, and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Investigate QA failures and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) when required.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and external partners involved in testing and project delivery.
• Work effectively across both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum environments, ensuring quality is considered throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure user stories are well-defined, properly groomed, and include clear and testable acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation, including test strategies, test plans, test cases, execution reports, and quality status reports.
• Facilitate internal and external quality review meetings and communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality.

Your profile

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles, testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
• Strong experience testing web applications, backend systems, and mobile applications.
• Experience working on multiple projects and systems simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in an operational testing role, with a strong understanding of real-world production environments.
• Strong expertise in test case design and test scenario development.
• Experience working with high-volume and business-critical applications.
• Strong analytical and testing mindset, with the ability to identify positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.
• Strong experience creating and maintaining QA documentation, including test strategies, test plans, test cases, and execution reports.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, defect resolution, and release planning.
• Experience working with complex datasets and preparing reliable data for automated and manual testing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in retail, e-commerce, logistics, or delivery platforms.
• Experience with test automation using Selenium and Java.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Knowledge of MS SQL and the ability to write and understand SQL queries.
