Full description

This role is part of the Consumer and Community Banking Controllers team. The position will have an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and partner with business finance team, P&A, Risk, and other groups throughout the Firm. As a result, excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential. The position demands an in-depth understanding of Retail Banking business and functions including Closing & reporting, financial statement analysis, Data Analytics, internal controls and various regulatory reporting requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Month-End analytical review of the number to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial statements and preparation of various reports
  • Develop process flows, implement internal controls policies and procedures to mitigate financial and business risks.
  • Review & Preparation of Regulatory Reporting in compliance with various US Fed/SEC Requirements
  • Review & Preparation of Management Information Summary decks to support Senior Management team in decision process by analyzing financial performance.
  • Constructively escalate issues and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to Management
  • Drive & Implement strategic priorities, projects & initiatives
  • Work on automating new and existing processes using data transformation tools like Alteryx etc
  • Build, maintain and enhance Alteryx data transformation workflows. Deploy them to Alteryx Server
  • Create, manage and enhance analytics dashboards in Tableau
  • Support ongoing development of Data Analytics framework by partnering with business to identify requirements, bring in new datasets and support new users
  • Understand and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in product development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with delivery partners across including senior leaders in the Business, Technology, Design, Operations, and control functions across lines of business.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly, develop a plan, and execute for results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound and independent judgment
  • Understanding of machine learning and AI-driven data analytics
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, SAP and Hyperion Essbase preferred
  • Experience in data transformation and visualization tools, such as Alteryx and Tableau
