Welcome to Codasip

At Codasip, we’re redefining the future of computing. Following a bold strategic pivot toward cyber-resilient semiconductor architectures, we are building next-generation processors and systems where security is embedded at the very core by design, not as an afterthought. As we expand our portfolio of secure, CHERI-enabled technologies and focus on delivering architecture-first security solutions, there has never been a more exciting time to join. Be part of a global team shaping the next era of secure computing where innovation, ownership, and impact go hand in hand.

Hiring Manager: Edward Butler  Job Title: Python SW Engineer Reporting Line: Edward Butler  Location: Brno-based  Type: Full-time

The Impact You'll Make

We are extending our Base team that sits within the center of Codasip’s EDA tooling division that develops the Studio Fusion and System Studio products — the tooling that enables chip designers to bring Codasip's secure, CHERI-enabled processors to life in real silicon products.

We are looking for a high-caliber senior software engineer who is looking for their next technical challenge. This is an opportunity to play a key role in an ambitious product roadmap that extends our EDA tooling to support full SoC design workflows.

What You Bring to The Table

Technical Delivery

  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality features across the Studio Fusion and System Studio codebase, with a focus on the Marketplace and Command Line / API surface
  • Own end-to-end delivery of technical work items — from scoping and design through to testing and release
  • Ensure robust continuous integration and testing pipelines using GitLab and TeamCity
  • Uphold and evolve code quality standards across a Python / C++ / Bash codebase running on Linux (RHEL 8/9) and Windows

Engineering Contribution

  • Actively contribute to architectural discussions and help shape technical decisions for the team's work areas
  • Participate in backlog refinement, providing accurate estimates and helping prioritise technical debt alongside feature work
  • Support the company's strategic pivot to chip design by extending the Studio codebase to handle multi-IP / SoC workflows
  • Contribute to an Early Access release for System Studio and engage with internal SoC teams as the primary customers of next-generation tooling

Collaboration & Craft

  • Work closely with other developers — sharing knowledge, reviewing code thoughtfully, and helping raise the technical bar without formal management responsibility
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives) and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Bring a pragmatic, solutions-first mindset and communicate technical complexity clearly to both engineers and stakeholders

Must-haves

  • Strong Python development skills (Python 3.x); comfortable with C++ and Bash in a systems context
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, system engineering, and CI/CD practices
  • Experience working with Linux-based development environments
  • Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively across a distributed team
  • Brno-based or willing to relocate; hybrid working with in-office presence required

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TeamCity for CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on exposure to public cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Any background in the semiconductor or EDA industry
  • Familiarity with Docker-based development and containerised workflows

Tools & Technologies

  • Python 3.x · C++ · Bash
  • GitLab · TeamCity · Docker
  • Linux (RHEL 8/9) · Windows
  • Jira / Confluence
