BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
What You'll Do
The HR Digital Product Portfolio is one of the largest and most dynamic portfolios within BCG’s Digital Products Organization, enabling technology across BCG’s HR and People functions. Within the Talent Acquisition Product Team, the Candidate Selection squad supports the products and capabilities that underpin how BCG assesses and selects candidates.
As a Senior Product Analyst, you will work closely with the Product Owner, business teams, technology teams, QA, and external vendors to shape effective product solutions. You will independently explore business needs, challenge assumptions, and translate complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions, with the Product Owner providing direction and final sign-off where appropriate.
- Lead and facilitate requirements discussions with business and technology teams to understand problems, user needs, business value, and the wider impact of proposed changes.
- Document clear product requirements in Jira, translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional requirements, use cases, and solution options.
- Challenge requests constructively, identifying assumptions, dependencies, risks, unintended consequences, and alternative approaches before solutions are agreed.
- Co-create solutions with business, technology, QA, and vendor teams, helping bridge functional and technical considerations and supporting the Product Owner with prioritization and delivery readiness.
- Build deep product knowledge and take accountability for changes from requirements through test-scenario definition, validation, deployment readiness, and rollout.
- Prioritize and investigate assigned production issues, identify likely root causes, and bring the right squad, vendor, or technology expertise together to drive effective resolution.
- Support successful adoption of new functionality by preparing release notes and partnering with Learning and Development and Process Enablement colleagues on user guidance and learning materials where needed.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and broader Talent Acquisition Product Team priorities as opportunities and business needs evolve.
- Build adjacent product and technical skills, including taking on straightforward SaaS configuration and functional enhancement activities where appropriate.
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years of relevant experience in product analysis, business analysis, technology, operations, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with confidence to challenge assumptions, identify downstream impacts, and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience eliciting, translating, and documenting business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional requirements, and use cases.
- Experience partnering with developers and engineers to bridge functional and technical requirements and translate business intent into implementation-ready specifications.
- Experience partnering with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate system behaviour, investigate issues, and manage feedback through delivery.
- Experience working with SaaS products and external vendors, with an interest in developing hands-on configuration and product administration capabilities.
- Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence; Talent Acquisition or HR technology experience is strongly preferred, while exposure to ServiceNow, APIs, integrations, MuleSoft, production support, system troubleshooting, or change management is beneficial.
Who You'll Work With
